Simple Complexity



I was inspired by the contrast between Frank Gehry’s Stata Center and Charles Klauder’s Cathedral of Learning across visits to MIT and the University of Pittsburgh campuses. The structurally complex but simple details of the Stata Center contrast the rudimental structure and ornate finishings of Klauder’s Cathedral of Learning.
