Poem Pavilion: The Pattern of Light



I continued to explore the light patterns of Es Devlin’s “Poem Pavilion” by scripting and rendering light and dark portions of the pavilion into waves. The original Grasshopper script was provided by the pre-college architecture program at Carnegie Mellon University. Waves that protrude represent light, and ditches that fall inwards represent darkness. I turned the resulting flat wavelike platform into a sphere, which I then added foil texture, using V-Ray.
